Job summary

Briswood Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Construction Supervisor with a Civil Engineering background to lead site oversight on high-rise developments and ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and safety standards.

You will supervise construction activities, review method statements and shop drawings, coordinate with consultants, authorities, and stakeholders, and manage QA/QC and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of inspection experience on multidisciplinary building projects, including high-rise developments.
• Mandarin required for internal communication.
• Experience in construction supervision or project management.
• Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to work six days per week and be based at the construction site.

What you will be doing (Key Responsibilities)

Technical oversight: Manage assigned technical matters and ensure civil and structural works follow approved designs, drawings, specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable regulations.

Site supervision: Oversee construction activities and provide standing supervision to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements.

Submission review: Review contractor method statements, shop drawings, work programmes, material deviations, and other technical submissions.

Quality and certification: Monitor QA/QC performance, certify as-built quantities and drawings, and verify structural progress for stage billings.

Stakeholder coordination: Act as the main point of contact for the general contractor, consultants, authorities, developer, and other key stakeholders; lead progress meetings and resolve project issues.

Reporting and documentation: Maintain proper document control and prepare periodic progress reports highlighting risks, gaps, deviations, issues, and recommended solutions.

Team leadership: Manage and guide site staff, including Clerks of Works, Inspectors of Works, and Resident Technical Officers, ensuring effective supervision and accountability.

What do we need from you (Job Requirements)

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

At least 7 to 10 years of inspection experience in multidisciplinary building projects, including high-rise developments.

Mandarin is required for internal communication purposes.

Previous experience in construction supervision or project management.

Strong ability to interpret contract documents, construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications.

Good knowledge of construction practices, techniques, materials, relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards.

Willingness to work six days per week and additional hours when required.

Willingness to be based at the construction site.
