Job summary

Setia Awan Holdings Sdn Bhd invites applications for a Construction Site Supervisor to oversee on-site activities at Batu Berendam, Melaka. You will liaise with consultants, contractors, authorities and the Project Management Committee to deliver work on time, within budget and to the required quality.

Requirements include a Degree in Civil Engineering or Building, minimum three years of site supervision experience; a Diploma with seven years’ experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Building or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction site supervision.
• Strong planning and supervision skills.
• Independent and able to meet deadlines.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering with 7 years' experience may be considered.
• Experience with a Main Building Contractor and/or Civil contractor is a plus.
• Able to work under stress and tight timelines.
• Good team player with strong communication skills.
• Willing to be based at Batu Berendam, Melaka.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and coordinate with consultants/contractors/sub-contractors, authorities and Project Management Committee to complete work on time, cost and quality.
• Monitor site activities such as inspections, measurements, and supervision to meet specifications, drawings and programs.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports and ensure records are correct.
• Attend audit interviews and project meetings (progress, safety, contractor meetings).
• Issue and enforce verbal/written instructions to all contractors including NSC.
• Assist the HOP in overseeing site organisation, management and administration.
• Ensure procedures follow the project quality plan/ISO requirements.
• Record keeping and office administration.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with main contractors and sub-contractors.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of construction sequencing, especially for Main Building and Infra works.
• Undertake any other tasks as directed by Management.

• Liaise and co-ordinate with consultants/contractors/sub-contractors, authorities and Project Management Committee on the requirement in order to complete the work on time, cost and high quality.
• Monitor site activities such as checking inspection, measurement, and supervision of works to comply with specification, drawings, and programs to achieve target progress and quality.
• Prepare daily report and weekly report and ensure the reports are correctly recorded.
• Attend audit interviews and all projects meeting i.e. progress meeting, safety meeting, and contractors meetings etc.
• Issue and enforce verbal and written instruction to all contractors including Nominated Sub-Contractor (NSC).
• Assist the HOP in overseeing the site organization, management and administration.
• Ensure work procedures are strictly followed in accordance to the project quality plan/ ISO requirements.
• Record keeping and office administration.
• Good interpersonal skills, able to coordinate and communicate effectively with main contractor and sub-contractors.
• Well verse in construction works sequencing especially in Main Building and Infra works.
• Undertakes any other tasks and assignments as directed by the Management.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering / Building or any equivalent discipline.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in construction site supervision and engineering.
• Possess good skill in planning and supervision.
• Independence and able to meet deadlines.
• Candidate with Diploma in Civil Engineering with seven (7) years of experience and above can be considered.
• Candidate with working experience with Main Building Contractor and/or Civil contractor has added advantage.
• Able to work under stress and tight timeline.
• Good team player and communication skills.
• Willing to be based at Batu Berendam, Melaka.
