Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee end-to-end project delivery from pre-construction to handover.

Based in Malaysia, you will coordinate with consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining quality.

The role requires a civil/architecture background and 10+ years of experience, with strong leadership and communication across diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil/Architecture engineering.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Senior Manager level in engineering/construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project execution from pre-construction to handover.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Liaise with authorities for approvals, inspections and clearances.
• Monitor progress, quality and costs, addressing delays.
• Review drawings and submissions with the consultant team.
• Lead site and progress meetings with timely follow-up.
• Monitor performance, resources and compliance.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, defects rectification and handover.
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with consultants during design stages.

Manage and oversee the overall project execution from pre-construction to completion and handover. Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the overall project execution from pre-construction to completion and handover
• Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
• Liaise with relevant authorities and utility providers to obtain necessary approvals, inspections and clearances
• Monitor project progress, programme, quality and cost, and take necessary action to resolve delays and issues
• Review and coordinate drawings, technical submissions, material approvals, site instructions and construction matters with the consultant team
• Conduct and lead site meetings, consultant meetings and progress meetings, ensuring timely follow-up of outstanding matters
• Monitor contractors' and subcontractors' performance, workmanship, resources and compliance with project requirements
• Coordinate testing & commissioning, defects rectification, CCC requirements and final project handover
• Prepare regular project progress and management reports and provide updates to senior management
• Coordinate with consultants during conceptual design, design development, tender and implementation stage

About you

• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil), Architecture or equivalent
• At least 10 years and above of working experience in the related field
• Preferably Senior Manager specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent
• Experience in managing residential, commercial / landed development projects
• Good knowledge of construction, project planning, quality management and authority requirements
• Strong communication, coordination, leadership and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple project priorities
• Required language(s): English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
