Job summary

Shell Malaysia is seeking a Payroll Specialist for China payroll to ensure accurate, compliant and timely payroll processing for ~1600 employees across 9 entities, handling monthly salary and statutory payments. The role collaborates with Policy, Tax, Legal, IT, Finance and HR to implement global payroll solutions and continuously improve processes.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of payroll experience with China SAP Payroll and Workday HR, strong data privacy awareness, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of payroll functional experience, China SAP Payroll, Workday HR and MS Office
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and prioritize tasks
• Analytical problem solver with attention to detail and deadlines
• Confidentiality and data protection compliance

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end payroll activities for China monthly payroll, statutory payments and controls
• Perform payroll reconciliation and posting to finance
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement in Shell payroll landscape
• Participate in payroll accounting backlog sessions and action items
• Contribute to global/regional/local payroll project implementations and system upgrades
• Respond to complex payroll queries via Salesforce and provide policy guidance
