Job summary

OCBC Group in Malaysia invites you to join our payments operations team as Remittance Processing Manager. You will oversee domestic and international remittance processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and regulatory compliance.

Collaborating with finance, compliance, IT and customer service, you will monitor SLAs, resolve complex payment issues, coordinate system monitoring with IT/vendors, and drive process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–4 years in payment processing/remittance, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of payment systems and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience managing SLAs and driving process improvements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in payment processing software and MS Office.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and authorize domestic and international remittance transactions accurately.
• Oversee end-to-end remittance processing and ensure timeliness.
• Ensure payments comply with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct verification and reconciliation of payment records.
• Monitor compliance with AML and internal controls.
• Collaborate with finance, compliance, IT, and customer service teams.
• Manage SLA adherence and report performance to senior management.
• Act as escalation point for complex remittance issues.
• Coordinate system monitoring and address outages with IT/vendor teams.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive process automation and improvements.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
