Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking an experienced Remittance Processing Manager to oversee end-to-end payment operations, ensure regulatory compliance and timely remittance processing across domestic and international channels.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage SLAs, coordinate with IT and vendors, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong relationships with finance, compliance, and customer service to deliver reliable, efficient service to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Banking & finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in payment processing, remittance operations, or financial services, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of payment systems, remittance workflows, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proven experience managing SLAs and driving process improvements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in payment processing software and MS Office applications.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and authorize both domestic and international remittance transactions accurately and on time.
• Oversee end-to-end remittance processing activities for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure payments comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payment systems and industry best practices.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve exceptions and discrepancies in payment transactions.
• Collaborate with compliance teams to implement corrective actions and mitigate risks.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders including finance, compliance, IT, and customer service teams.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to SLAs for remittance processing.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management.
• Act as escalation point for complex customer issues related to remittance processing.
• Oversee system monitoring and coordinate with IT and vendors to address issues.
• Identify bottlenecks and promote automation or workflow enhancements.
