Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking a Remittance Operations Manager to lead payment processing, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage SLAs across domestic and international remittance activities. You will collaborate with finance, compliance, IT and external partners, oversee system monitoring, and drive process improvements while reporting operational status to senior leadership.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance or related field, 3–4 years in remittance or payment ops, strong knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking & finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of payment systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Process and authorize remittance transactions accurately and within timelines.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor SLA adherence and prepare performance reports for senior management.
• Act as escalation point for complex customer issues related to remittance processing.
• Oversee system monitoring activities and coordinate with IT/vendors for issues.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and drive process improvements.
• Prepare documentation for audits and address findings.
