Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking an Area General Manager for Facilities Services to lead a portfolio of contracts in Penang.

You will oversee P&L, QHSE, regulatory compliance, people management, operations, and business development, while coaching Contract Managers and ensuring delivery excellence across sites. The role requires a minimum Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years in facilities management, with strong leadership, communication and financial governance.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree preferred with at least 7 years of relevant experience in commercial facilities industry.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Facilities Management or a comparable industry, with a proven track record of success in relevant areas of responsibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu required

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to direct reports across a portfolio of customer contracts.
• Ensure optimum resource levels exist across contracts, balancing cost control with the delivery of service excellence and employee satisfaction.
• Lead the recruitment and selection, process for Contract Managers, ensuring a thorough onboarding process and best practice across team hires.
• Foster a learning environment, with development and succession plans across all contracts.
• Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships, with stakeholders of varying levels.
• Full responsibility for portfolio P&L including the development of financial plans for revenue and profit, management of debt, cost control, and growth.
