Job summary

WAWASAN GAS SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented professional to provide technical and commercial support from the Bintulu office.

You will prepare quotations, review specifications, liaise with suppliers, and assist in tender submissions while ensuring margins meet targets. The role also covers office administration, documentation control, and coordination with HQ and warehouse to ensure smooth order processing and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.
• 1–3 years of experience in oil & gas, industrial trading, or engineering environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of valves, fittings, or instrumentation products will be an advantage.
• Familiar with RFQ process and commercial costing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Able to multitask in a small team environment (two-man branch setup).
• Independent, responsible, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial quotations based on customer RFQs.
• Review basic technical specifications, datasheets, and drawings.
• Liaise with principals/suppliers for pricing and technical clarification.
• Prepare costing sheets and ensure margin alignment with company targets.
• Assist in tender documentation and submission.
• Follow up on quotation status with customers.
• Maintain proper documentation, quotation records, and sales tracking.
• Coordinate with HQ and warehouse on order processing and delivery matters.
• Prepare supporting documents for Delivery Orders and invoicing.
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and courier documentation.
• Maintain proper filing and document control for the Bintulu office.
• Ensure smooth daily office operations, including coverage when Sales Engineer is on leave.
• Assist in general office administration and operational matters.
• Perform ad hoc duties and administrative tasks as assigned to support overall branch operations.
