Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and project budgets for interior fit-out projects.
• Source quotations, evaluate pricing, and prepare cost comparisons.
• Prepare tender documents and analyze submissions; recommend subcontractors and suppliers.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and variations with clients and suppliers.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, and budget performance.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, payment certificates, and final accounts.
• Evaluate and process subcontractor claims and invoices.
• Manage variation orders (VO), EOT, and contractual documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, Design, Procurement, and Site teams for cost-effective execution.
• Conduct site measurements and valuations when required.
• Maintain accurate costing records and prepare financial reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Malaysian regulations.

• Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, evaluate pricing, and prepare cost comparisons.
• Prepare tender documents, analyze tender submissions, and recommend suitable subcontractors and suppliers.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and variations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, and budget performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, payment certificates, and final accounts.
• Evaluate and process subcontractor claims and invoices.
• Manage variation orders (VO), extension of time (EOT), and contractual documentation.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Design Team, Procurement Team, and Site Team to ensure cost-effective project execution.
• Conduct site measurements and valuations when required.
• Maintain accurate project costing records and prepare financial reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and relevant Malaysian construction regulations.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant working experience in interior fit‑out, renovation, or construction projects.
• Good understanding of construction contracts, costing, procurement, and contract administration.
• Strong knowledge of interior finishes, furniture, M&E coordination, and fit‑out construction methods.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and quantity take‑off software will be an added advantage.
• Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
• Possess a positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage for liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.
