Job summary

Studio Putih 5 in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our interior design & build team, supporting renovation and carpentry projects from concept to completion. You will prepare cost estimates, take-offs, budgets, and subcontractor quotes, review drawings, and ensure projects stay within budget.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years QS experience, reads drawings well, and is proficient in Excel, AutoCAD, and SketchUp; join our growing team at our new office branch in

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• 1–2 years in QS with construction/interior/carpentry experience.
• Able to read construction/interior drawings and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations, Bills of Quantities, and cost estimates.
• Review drawings, specs, and tender documents.
• Take-offs for renovation, interior fit-out, and carpentry.
• Source, compare, and negotiate supplier/subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare project budgets and monitor costs.
• Verify subcontractor and progress claims.
• Prepare variation orders and final accounts.
• Coordinate with Design, PM, and Site teams to keep within budget.
• Monitor material costs and suggest cost-saving measures.
• Maintain accurate costing records and procurement docs.

Quantity Surveyor in Interior Construction (Design & Build Company)

Studio Putih 5 is an Interior Design & Build company specializing in residential and commercial renovations. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team within September 2026 at our new office branch. With our own carpentry factory, we provide complete design and build solutions from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quotations, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and cost estimates.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for renovation, interior fit-out, and custom carpentry works.
• Source, compare, and negotiate quotations with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare project budgets and monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Verify subcontractor claims, progress claims, and payment certificates.
• Prepare Variation Orders (VO), cost reports, and Final Accounts.
• Work closely with the Design, Project Management, and Site teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Monitor material costs and recommend cost-saving solutions without compromising quality.
• Maintain accurate costing records and procurement documentation.

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in Quantity Surveying related to Construction, Interior Design, or Carpentry.
• Able to read construction and interior design drawings.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, market pricing, and procurement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and Sketchup.
• Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Possess a positive attitude, strong sense of responsibility, and attention to detail.
