Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support end-to-end contract administration for interior design and build projects. The role requires hands-on measurement, cost analysis, and timely valuation while liaising with consultants, suppliers, and contractors.

Candidates should hold a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) with at least two years of experience, and must have own transport and be willing to travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience.
• Knowledge of ID QS in interior design and build.
• Good attitude, eager to learn and punctuality.
• Own transport and willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• In-depth understanding of full cycle of ID BQ, Specifications, and Contracts.
• Familiar with tender preparation, RFQ, cost analysis, evaluating claims and payment certification, POs, evaluating quotations.
• Good follow-up and organization skills.
• Project administration and documentation: interim valuations, pricing, contract variations, claim submissions, final accounts.
• Manage sub-con payments and main-con claims.
• Manage back charges to subcontractors.
• Attend site visits and monitor site progress.
• Prepare award of contract, checked contract documents and contractor evaluation.
• Hands-on measurement/takings during pre, post and final stages.
• Collaborate with consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
• Acquire quotations for cost assessment, budgeting.
• Maintain proper documentation filing system for correspondences.
• Attend contract consultant meetings, site meetings, valuations, measurements.
• Input into development of templates/documents/systems for Contract and Procurement management.
• Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

• - Manage sub-con payments and main-con claims.
• - Manage back charges to sub-contractors.
• - Job site visiting and monitor site progress.
• - Prepare award of contract, checked contract documents and recommend contractor's evaluation
• - Able to do hands-on matters such as measurement/ taking off during pre, post and final contract stages.
• - Collaborate with consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
• - Acquire quotations from contractors and suppliers for the purpose of cost assessment, analysis or budgeting.
• - Able to maintain proper and systematic documentation filing system for outgoing and incoming contract correspondences.
• - To attend contract consultant meetings, site meetings, site valuation, site measurement and relevant regular meetings.
• - Input on-going development of new templates, documents, systems and processes for Contract and Procurement management to incorporate lessons learned and efficiencies.
• - To undertake other ad-hoc duties as appropriate and as assigned by management.

Job Specification
