Golden Touch Space Design Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control and commercial aspects of interior fit-out and design & build projects.
You will prepare budgets, BQ, tender documents and progress claims, read architectural and M&E drawings, and work with procurement and finance to keep projects on track.

Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering Management
Minimum 5 years of QS working experience; experience in interior fit- out and Design & Build projects is preferred
Well- versed in the full- cycle processes including BQ, tendering, progress claims, VO, deductions, retention sum and final account
Must have hands- on Progress Claim experience, capable of preparing client claims and assessing subcontractors’ progress claims
Able to read architectural, interior, structural and M&E drawings; possess cost- analysis and negotiation capabilities
Proficient in MS Excel; experience with QS costing software is preferred. Capable of handling multiple projects with strong sense of responsibility
Fluent in reading and writing Chinese for processing Chinese construction documents and internal & external communication; proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
Prior end- to- end project experience covering tendering, progress claim and final account is preferred

Prepare budgets, Bill of Quantities (BQ) and tender documents, carry out quantity take- offs from drawings, conduct cost analysis and identify commercial risks
Conduct enquiries and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, assist in drafting subcontract agreements and control subcontract costs
Monitor project costs, produce monthly cost reports and flag over- budget risks
Core duty: Independently prepare monthly Progress Claim for clients, conduct site measurements, follow up on approval and payment collection; assess subcontractors’ progress claims
Prepare quotations, maintain registers and conduct negotiations for Variation Orders (VO), follow up on the recovery of additional- work costs
Review contract risks, handle commercial disputes, complete Final Account for projects and subcontractors, follow up on final payment and retention sum release
Collaborate cross- functionally with project, procurement and finance teams and maintain the cost database
