Job summary

Threno Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our interior fit-out and main contracting team in Malaysia. The role focuses on cost control, commercial management and contract administration for FB/retail and commercial projects.

You will handle pre- and post-contract activities, review quotations, prepare progress claims and final accounts, and liaise with clients, consultants and suppliers. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Contract Management or related.

Responsibilities

• Handle pre-contract and post-contract administration for construction and interior fit-out projects.
• Prepare and review quotations, tender submissions, contracts and subcontract agreements.
• Manage Progress Claims, Variation Orders (VO), Extension of Time (EOT) and Final Accounts.
• Monitor project costs, contract values and overall commercial performance.
• Prepare cost comparisons, subcontractor quotations and commercial evaluations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on contractual matters.
• Review contract terms, identify potential contractual risks and highlight commercial issues to management.
• Manage and maintain proper documentation for contracts, claims, VO and project correspondence.
• Assist in negotiation with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure project claims and supporting documents are submitted accurately and on time.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and site team to identify cost variations,additional works and potentail commercial risks.
• Assist management in project cost control and commercial decision-making.

We are looking for a motivated and responsible Quantity Surveyor(QS)to join our company.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Contract Management or a related

Preferably 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction, interior fit-out or main contracting.

Candidates with experience in Commercial fit-out project will have an advantage.

Good knowledge of construction contracts, variation claims, progress claims and final accounts.

Good understanding of construction drawings, BOQ and specifications.

Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills.

Able to read and understand consturction drawings and specifications.

Able to work independently and manage multiple projects / deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Autocad .

Willing to travel to project sites when required.

Familiar with major mall landlord fit-out guides(KLCC,Pavillion,Midvalley,TRX,etc)

Experience working with main contractors or interior fit-out contractors is highly preferred.
