Job summary

Pembinaan Purcon Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Seri Kembangan, Selangor team. You will manage project costs, prepare bills of quantities, and ensure cost control throughout the construction lifecycle.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline and 3–5 years of proven experience. You will collaborate with architects, engineers and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Pembinaan Purcon Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. This is a full-time position based in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring financial control, and delivering exceptional value throughout the construction lifecycle. This position is fundamental to our project success and directly impacts our ability to deliver quality construction projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate bills of quantities and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis to support project planning and decision-making
• Monitor project expenditure and manage cost control throughout all project phases
• Prepare valuation certificates and interim payment applications for clients and contractors
• Conduct site inspections and measurements to verify work progress and quality compliance
• Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors and contractors to achieve competitive pricing
• Manage contract documentation and ensure adherence to contractual terms and conditions
• Prepare final accounts and settle disputes relating to contract variations and claims
• Liaise with architects, engineers, clients and contractors to ensure project alignment
• Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation for audit and reference purposes

What we're looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline from a recognised institution
• Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of building contracts, tender procedures and construction practices in Malaysia
• Proficiency in cost estimation software, Microsoft Office and relevant quantity surveying applications
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Sound understanding of project management principles and construction methodology
