We are looking for a meticulous and commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join our team. You will be responsible for procurement planning, as well as financial and contractual management of construction projects from inception to completion. Your primary role is to ensure proper processes are in place, costs and risks are effectively controlled, and projects are delivered within stipulated cost, time, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare initial cost estimates, feasibility studies, and detailed budgets for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Tender Management: Prepare and analyse tender documents, including the Bill of Quantities (BoQ), and manage the procurement process.
- Tender Evaluation: Experienced to perform tender evaluation process, to prepare and present Tender Evaluation report to the various committees if and when required.
- Contract Administration: Monitor project costs and control variations to ensure budget compliance. Attend site meetings and conduct site measurements as required.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders on cost and contractual issues
- Site Valuation & Final Accounts: Prepare and verify progress claims, interim valuations, and final accounts
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying
- Professional Status: Membership or progress toward professional accreditation (e.g., RICS Chartership, BQSM registration, or equivalent).
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant working experience in Consultant / Project Management Company
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of standard contract forms (e.g., CIDB, PAM, FIDIC, PWD).
- Expertise in Microsoft Office 365, Power Point, M.Project
