Job summary

YU CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Klang Selangor area. This full-time position offers opportunities to develop skills in cost estimation, tendering, and project cost control.

You will assist the senior QS, perform measurements, track procurement and subcontractor costs, and help with final accounts while maintaining thorough project records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Bachelor's or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction.
• Strong numerical and cost-analysis abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior quantity surveyor with bills of quantities and cost estimates.
• Conduct on-site measurements and prepare progress reports.
• Monitor project costs including procurement and subcontractors.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders for delivery.
• Support in final accounts and contractual claims.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team at YU CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our construction projects in the Klang Selangor area. This is a full-time position that will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in the field of quantity surveying.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the senior quantity surveyor in preparing and analysing bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents
• Conducting on-site measurements and preparing progress reports
• Monitoring and controlling project costs, including procurement and subcontractor management
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects
• Providing support in the preparation of final accounts and contractual claims
• Maintaining accurate project records and documentation

What we're looking for

• A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in a quantity surveying or construction-related role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with numbers and data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Proficiency in the use of construction-related software and tools
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards
