BINA KEMUNCAK CEMERLANG SDN BHD on Penang Island seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor with 4+ years in factories, warehouses, or civil infra projects. You will read BQ and drawings to perform quantity take-offs, and prepare tender submissions for industrial works.

• Track project budgets, payment claims and Variation Orders (VO).
• Prepare progress claims, payment certificates and final accounts.
• Look for cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing quality.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Clients, and Sub-contractors.
• Visit job sites to measure and verify completed work.

Specializing as a management contractor, we deliver end-to-end structural works (steel and RC), civil infrastructure (drainage, retaining walls, earthworks), and building works for warehouses and industrial factories.

Key Responsibilities

Read BQ, drawings, and specs to do accurate quantity take-offs.

Prepare tender submissions and quotations for factory, warehouse, and infra projects.

Source, check, and negotiate prices with suppliers and sub-contractors.

Project Cost Control:

Track project budgets, payment claims, and Variation Orders (VO).

Prepare progress claims, payment certificates, and final accounts.

Look for practical ways to save costs without sacrificing quality.

Site & Team Coordination:

Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Clients, and Sub-contractors.

Visit job sites to measure and verify actual completed work.

Job Requirements

Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in construction QS work.

Specialization: Must have experience in factories, warehouses, or civil infrastructure (drainage, retaining walls, earthworks, structural steel/concrete).

Work Ethic: Reliable team player who wants a stable, long-term position (steady employment history preferred; no frequent job-hopping).

Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of AutoCAD or AI tools is an added advantage.

Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related fields.

Languages: Able to communicate and negotiate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
