Job summary

Nakakumi Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage costs for construction projects in Malaysia. You will handle feasibility studies, cost planning and contract administration to minimize expenses while upholding quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include preparing estimates and budgets, evaluating bids, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring costs stay within budget. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience in construction is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Bills of Quantities, tendering and contract administration.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel and AutoCAD; QS software is an asset.
• Good analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• English, Bahasa Malaysia; Chinese is a plus.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs relating to our construction projects. You will be responsible for feasibility studies, contract management, and minimizing project costs while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare cost estimates, Bill of Quantities and project budgets.

Prepare and evaluate quotations, tenders and contract documents.

Source and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors and vendors.

Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure stays within budget.

Prepare progress claims, payment certificates and variation orders.

Measure quantities and verify work completed on site.

Coordinate with the project team, consultants and subcontractors on cos-related matters.

Maintain proper project cost records and documentation.

Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Experience in the construction industry is an advantage.

Knowledge of Bills of Quantities, tendering and contract administration.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and AutoCAD (knowledge of QS software is an advantage).

Good analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese language will have an added advantage.

Able to work independently, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.

Possess a positive attitude, responsible and willing to learn.
