Job summary

Bumantara Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified Site Quantity Surveyor to join our project team in Simunjan, Sarawak. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying and 2–3 years of relevant construction experience.

You will handle site measurements, cost control, progress claims, variations, and provide commercial support, while ensuring accurate records and effective coordination with the project team.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Quantity Surveying is required.
• 2–3 years of relevant construction experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and QS software.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, numerical, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site measurement and quantity take-off based on drawings and actual site works.
• Prepare and assist with progress claims, variation orders and other commercial documentation.
• Verify subcontractor and supplier claims, quantities and completed works.
• Monitor project costs, commitments and variations against the project budget.
• Maintain proper records of measurements, variations, claims and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with the project team on cost, quantity and contractual matters.
• Assist in preparing cost reports and monitoring the financial progress of the project.
• Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties as required by Management.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Site Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our project team in Simunjan, Sarawak.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.

Good knowledge of quantity measurement, Bills of Quantities (BQ), progress claims, variation orders and construction cost control.

Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant quantity surveying applications.

Good analytical, numerical, documentation and communication skills.

Must be willing and able to stay and work full-time at the project site in Simunjan, Sarawak.
