Bintulu Engineering & Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents, and to manage tendering and contract negotiations. You will monitor budgets, assess variations, and perform value engineering to optimize cost without compromising quality.
The role involves preparing progress payments, valuations, and final accounts while coordinating with project teams and conducting site visits to validate work before payments.
Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents. Manage the tendering process, including evaluation and contract negotiations.
Monitor project budgets and control costs throughout the construction cycle.
Assess variations and change orders, and provide cost impact reports.
Conduct value engineering and provide cost-saving suggestions without compromising quality. Prepare progress payment claims, interim valuations, and final accounts.
Work with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure financial efficiency.
Perform site visits to validate work done before payments. Ensure all commercial and contractual risks are properly managed and reported.
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
Minimum 1–5 years (for junior/mid-level) or 5–10 years (for senior-level) relevant experience, ideally in Sarawak-based projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD Excellent command of Bahasa Malaysia and English
