Job summary

Risinglight Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support project cost control and planning. You will review plans, prepare quantities, and monitor costs and budgets while coordinating with site managers, clients, contractors and subcontractors to ensure best value.

The role requires a Diploma or higher in Quantity Surveying or related engineering field, with Bahasa Malaysia and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Quantity Surveying or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken.
• At least 1 year of related work experience; fresh graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and prepare quantity requirements.
• Scrutinize maintenance and material costs and contracts for best value.
• Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors and subcontractors.
• Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets and risk assessments.
• Track materials and reorder as needed to meet project timelines.
• Document design changes and update budgets accordingly.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.

Job description

1) Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.

2) Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.

3) Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

4) Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.

5) Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.

6) Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.

7) Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders

8) Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering(Electrical/ Electronic) or equivalent.

9) Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English both verbal and writing

10) At least one(1) year or working experience in the related field is required for this position
