Job summary

Solid Point Precision Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant QA Manager to join our Quality Assurance & Control team at our facility in Muar, Johor. This full-time role reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and supports the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance systems across production processes.

You will lead the QC/QA team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2–3 years in quality assurance/control or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, SPC or Six Sigma.
• Proficient with quality assurance tools and MS Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical/problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC/QA team to achieve quality targets for internal, customers and business goals.
• Ensure all in-house systems and procedures are updated to meet SOP and customer requirements.
• 8D Report preparation and follow-up.
• Apply CAPA, risk analysis and continuous improvement activities.
• Demonstrate familiarity with incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality control activities.
• Prepare quality reports and present to management and customers.

Job description

We are seeking an Assistant QA Manager to join our Quality Assurance & Control team on a full-time basis at our facility in Muar, Johor. This is a pivotal role within our manufacturing operation, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and supporting the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance systems across our production processes. As Assistant QA Manager, you will play a strategic role in ensuring compliance with quality standards, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the continuous enhancement of our quality management systems. This position offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in quality control whilst making a tangible impact on our operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

Lead QC/QA team to achieve quality targets for internal, customers and business goals.

Ensure all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of SOP & customer requirements.

Demonstrate good knowledge and hands‑on experience in 8D Report preparation and follow‑up.

Apply good knowledge in 8D, CAPA, risk analysis and continuous improvement activities.

Demonstrate familiarity with incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality control activities.

Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Suppliers for quality.

Prepare quality reports and present to management and customers.

Handle quality documentation, SOP, WI, FMEA, Control Plan, and PPAP.

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline

Proven experience of at least 2-3 years in a quality assurance, quality control or manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of quality management systems and quality control methodologies, such as ISO 9001, SPC (Statistical Process Control) or Six Sigma

Proficiency in using quality assurance tools and software, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and quality issues accurately

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to investigate root causes and recommend improvements

Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively liaise with various departments

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and accountability
