Job summary

Oriental Shimomura Drawing (M) Sdn Bhd in Central Seberang Perai, Penang is seeking an Assistant QA Engineer or QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance and Control team on a full-time basis.

You will conduct quality inspections, drive improvements, and help implement ISO/QMS standards while collaborating with production and suppliers to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle quality improvements projects, monitor progress, and follow up on corrective actions
• Conduct quality inspections and testing to ensure product meet required standards and specifications
• Identify, analyse, and follow-up on quality issues, defects, and non-conformances
• Liaise with customers regarding quality requirements, complaints, and related reports
• Coordinate with Production, other departments, suppliers, and customers on quality-related matters
• Assist in the development and delivery of quality training programmes to production and operational staff
• Support the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO requirements
• Establish and conduct quality-related training for QA personnel
• Assist in quality audits, supplier assessments, and quality improvement projects
• Maintain accurate quality records and ensure proper documentation and traceability

Oriental Shimomura Drawing (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant QA Engineer or QA Engineer to join our dynamic Quality Assurance and Control team. This is a full-time position based in Central Seberang Perai, Penang. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our manufacturing operations, ensuring that all products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. The position offers a strategic opportunity to develop your expertise in quality assurance whilst contributing directly to our operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities
