Job summary

Euro SME SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Manufacturing QA Manager to lead our Quality Assurance function across manufacturing operations in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The role focuses on maintaining high standards, compliance and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

You will own the QMS, manage audits and certifications, drive CAPA, support NPI, and mentor the QA team while working with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to uphold product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Responsibilities

• Lead and continually improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC and customer-specific standards.
• Manage quality performance across the manufacturing process, including inspections, testing, process controls and corrective actions.
• Lead customer complaint investigations, root cause analysis and CAPA activities to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate and manage internal, customer and third-party audits, ensuring compliance and audit readiness at all times.
• Support new product introduction, product specifications, technical approvals and change management processes.
• Work closely with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and maintain the highest product standards.
• Oversee sustainability, traceability and certification requirements, including supplier and laboratory coordination.
• Lead, develop and mentor the QA team while delivering training and promoting a strong culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Analyse quality trends, audit findings and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities and drive operational excellence.

As our QA Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing quality systems, managing audits and certifications, leading quality investigations, supporting product development activities, and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organisation.

About the Role

The Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager will take ownership of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with relevant standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.

You will act as the key point of contact for quality-related matters, working closely with customers, suppliers, certification bodies, auditors, and internal departments to maintain and continuously improve quality performance across the business.

As our Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager you will:

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Experience with:

• ISO 9001
• ISO 14001
• BRC Standards
• Quality inspections and testing
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• CAPA and non-conformance management
• Experience leading customer complaint investigations and root cause analysis.
• Proven track record managing internal and external audits.
• Experience working with external laboratories for product testing and certification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing, coaching or mentoring QA/QC teams.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

It would be great if you had experience within:

• Plastic packaging
• Extrusion
• Printing
• Converting operations
• Knowledge of food safety management systems and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with SMETA,ICS and other ethical compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) projects.
• Experience working with international customers and multinational manufacturing businesses.
• Strong presentation, coaching and training delivery skills.
• Sustainability, recycled-content or chain-of-custody compliance experience.
