What You'll Be Doing?
- Quality Assurance Leadership: Take full ownership of the Quality Assurance Department, reporting directly to the General Manager and setting the quality direction for the entire organisation.
- ISO & Quality Systems Management: Maintain and manage the company's ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001 certifications and implement Lean Sigma and AS9100 quality system requirements across all operations.
- Internal Quality Audits: Champion and lead internal quality audits across all departments, ensuring processes consistently meet required quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the ongoing performance and outputs of the quality process and drive data-driven decisions to continuously improve quality outcomes.
- Supplier Quality Management: Ensure all suppliers meet the company's quality requirements through robust supplier quality management processes and regular performance reviews.
- Customer & Regulatory Liaison: Review customer feedback to inform quality process improvements; communicate effectively with customers and regulatory agencies and deliver quality performance presentations to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement Leadership: Direct cross-functional teams to ensure quality frameworks are consistently implemented; lead continuous improvement initiatives applying Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, SPC and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Technical Quality Oversight: Proficiently interpret engineering drawings and related specifications and apply this knowledge in CMM programming and inspection methods to ensure inspection accuracy and process compliance.
Who Are They Looking For?
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred — however, candidates without formal qualifications but with the necessary depth of experience and expertise are welcome to apply.
- Quality Assurance Experience: Minimum 10 years of quality assurance management experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated track record of leading QA functions and driving quality performance improvements.
- Quality Systems Expertise: Strong hands-on knowledge of ISO9001:2015, AS9100, Lean Sigma, PFMEA, SPC and Six Sigma is essential, with proven experience leading internal audits, managing supplier quality and implementing corrective and preventive action programmes.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, regulatory agencies and senior management; strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities to align cross-functional teams toward shared quality objectives.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required for customer communication, regulatory engagement and management reporting; Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin proficiency would be an added advantage for effective day-to-day team communication.
- Aerospace & Semiconductor Exposure: Prior exposure to semiconductor equipment manufacturing or aerospace precision engineering environments is a significant advantage, particularly given the company's aerospace and semiconductor client base.
- Nadcap & CMM Knowledge: Familiarity with Nadcap quality standards and hands-on proficiency in CMM programming and inspection methods are strong differentiators for this role.
