IKD Limited in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Quality Manager to lead customer quality systems and drive digital QMS across MES/ERP platforms. You will guide audits, improve processes, and ensure compliance with automotive quality standards while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.

The role requires strong leadership, problem‑solving, and multilingual communication, with a focus on high‑impact improvement initiatives in a die‑casting environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years in quality management in die-casting with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Smart user of MS Office; familiarity with measurement tools and Minitab is preferred.
  • Internal audit certification such as IATF16949 or VDA standards is desirable.
  • Strong root-ccause analysis, problem solving, and proactive improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist System Team to develop Customer Quality Management System standards.
  • Lead QMS module implementation within the EPROS system for a strategic factory.
  • Execute internal audits and publish improvement actions and findings.
  • Advance digital transformation for quality management in MES/ERP systems.
  • Develop quality reporting systems and manage data from MES/ERP.
  • Support RFQ/PO projects with quality risk assessments and control plans.
  • Coordinate PFMEA, Control Plans and Work Instructions reviews.
  • Provide training to staff before production launches.

Responsibility

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibility 1: Assist the System Team in developing Customer Quality Management System process standards;

1) Collaborate with the System Team to finalize the Customer Quality Management System process standards;

2) Collaborate with the System Team to complete the standardized forms for the Customer Quality Management System standards.

Responsibility 2: Lead the implementation of a Quality Management System module within the EPROS system for a specific strategic customer's factory;

1) Lead the development of the Customer Quality Management System module within the EPROS system – e.g., maintaining the eight major processes and standardized forms for Customer S, documenting successful case studies, and replicating these practices across other factories;

Responsibility 3: Lead specialized internal audits at the factory, organize the development of improvement measures by the factory, and regularly publish audit findings;

Responsibility 4: Lead the advancement of digital transformation initiatives for quality management at the site-based factory;

1) Building upon existing system implementation efforts, lead the advancement of digital transformation initiatives for quality management within the MES and ERP systems at the site-based factory;

Responsibility 5: Be responsible for the development and operation of preliminary quality reporting systems for the digital transformation initiative at the site-based factory;

1) Lead the collection of quality-related data from the digital MES and ERP systems at the site-based factory, streamline the logic behind quality reporting systems, and oversee the development of these reporting systems and the underlying management systems;

Responsibility 6: Be responsible for tracking and transferring quality-related data generated as part of the digital transformation initiative at the site-based factory;

1) Lead the testing, acceptance, and refinement of quality-related information reporting data, and then transfer this data to the factory's Quality Department.

Responsibility 7: Support quality management activities within strategic project quotations;

1) Conduct quality risk assessments for RFQ and PO projects, identify quality risk points and corresponding control measures; coordinate with measurement engineers to evaluate measurement fixtures, develop solutions for measurement-related issues, and oversee their implementation; compile and promote the adoption of quality standards and best practice cases;

Responsibility 8: Support quality management activities throughout the strategic project development lifecycle;

1) facilitate process audits and problem resolution for new projects, and document Lessons Learned; oversee product quality management during the sample phase; propose rationalization proposals for measuring tools and error-proofing measures; approve temporary or permanent release of dimensional tolerances; participate in the joint review of PFMEA, Control Plans, and Work Instructions; ensure that training is provided to personnel before they are deployed to the production line; develop PPK, CPK, and MSA plans and monitor their implementation; Responsibility 9: Support strategic projects in the PPAP mass production phase;

1) lead PPAP audits for new products to ensure that PPAP submissions meet regulatory requirements and mitigate mass production risks; supervise and manage quality control activities during the in-factory production of new product SOPs within three months;
