UPECA Malaysia seeks a Quality Assurance professional to lead the QA function, driving process improvements and APQP/PFMEA activities. You will coordinate FAIRs, NCRs, MRB actions, and audits to ensure product conformance.
The role requires collaboration across departments to maintain robust control plans and respond effectively to customer quality concerns. Based in Selangor, it is a full-time position.

To coordinate the First Article Inspection activity and the preparation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) submission to customers
To ensure well-maintenance of the FAIRs and FAIR logs in server.
To coordinate customer complaints / quality concerns raised by respective project customer and response to customer on timely manner.
To drive MRB team for customer complaints/internal rejection/customer quality concerns and to ensure implementation of robust corrective action.
To promptly notify customer on any suspected escape and to execute on timely manner the necessary actions such as screening and segregating of goods.
To coordinate respective customer and product audits. This includes but not limited to liaising with customer on the product audit and to gather CAR replies and feedback to customer till closure.
To support internal and external audits such surveillance and NADCAP audits.
To ensure all Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for systems, processes or product non-conformances are closed in a timely manner.
To establish Control Plan, chair Control Plan meetings and ensure prompt update and the maintenance of the Control Plan document.
To coordinate PPAP compilation submission and approval from customer activities.
To involve actively in all Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities.
To provide insights/inputs for PFMEA maintenance.
To troubleshoot and to resolve problems relating to quality control aspects.
To review quality requirements of contracts, PO’s, and amendments to awarded contracts.
To generate appropriate documents, inspection plans & work instructions for Quality Controllers as guide to carry out their duties according to the relevant requirements.
To support Quality Control team on QAP activities when required.
To coordinate all Last Article Inspection Activity, customer sample part storing.
To involve actively in continuous improvement activities within the Quality department and / or the company.
To verify BOM, PPS, Internal Drawing, Sketch and Internal COS and ensure it is accurate / fit for manufacturing activities
To provide insights to QC Manager and HOD (when requested) in discussion of technical details with the Material, Purchasing, Product Development, Production, Quality, Special Process, Business Development team and/or customer.
To perform gap analysis on quality related process and process specification change and efficiently cascade relevant information to all stake holders.
To coordinate Customer Change Board (CCB) meeting to flow down any quality requirement introduction / change on product/process.
To ensure that the Group’s Quality Systems and Procedures are adhered at all times.
To perform all other works as and when assigned by Quality Manager or Head of Quality.
To receive and act on any other instruction from the Quality Manager or any other person so delegated by him.
What to expect:
To ensure all products delivered to customer meet relevant customer standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures and implementing quality control systems.

Experience and Personality Preference:
3 years of working experience in any industry with relevant quality control background, preferably manufacturing or aerospace.
Skills, Knowledge Requirements:
High integrity with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and ability in leading and molding a disciplined and efficient culture for the department.
PC literate and able to use Microsoft Office package software.
Able to work independently as well as being a team-player with strong commitment to department harmony.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Deep understanding of International Quality Management Standards and hands-on experiences in process improvement.
Resourceful, proactive and dynamic personality.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision makings.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet the demands of the job
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field.
Recognized industrial certification in technical equivalent to Bachelor's Degree is acceptable.

External: Respective customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
