Job summary

PKL Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Management Leader to head the QA/QC department and drive continuous quality improvements across manufacturing operations. You will establish, implement and maintain the company's QMS, ensure ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance, lead internal and external audits, manage supplier quality, and report performance to management.

Lead and manage the Quality Assurance Department, including QA/QC activities and quality improvement initiatives.

Establish, implement, maintain and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS).

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements and other applicable quality standards.

Plan and lead internal, external, customer and certification audits, including audit preparation, findings closure and follow-up actions.

Monitor product and process quality performance and drive corrective and preventive actions.

Lead investigation and resolution of customer complaints, quality issues and non-conformities.

Ensure effective implementation of 8D / Root Cause Analysis / Corrective Action processes.

Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and other departments to prevent quality issues and improve process capability.

Establish and monitor quality KPIs, including customer complaints, PPM, rejection rate, scrap, rework and internal quality performance.

Manage supplier quality issues and support supplier improvement activities where required.

Ensure proper control and maintenance of quality-related documents, procedures, records and specifications.

Identify quality risks and implement appropriate preventive measures.

Lead continuous improvement and quality improvement projects.

Provide regular quality performance reports and recommendations to Management.

Train and develop QA/QC personnel to ensure competency and awareness of quality requirements.

Ensure compliance with company policies, customer-specific requirements and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Science or related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 is required.

Strong experience in QMS implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement.

Experience in conducting and managing internal and external audits.

Good understanding of customer quality requirements and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR).

Experience in handling customer complaints, non-conformities and corrective actions.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Good leadership and people management skills.

Able to communicate effectively with customers, auditors, suppliers and internal departments.

IATF 16949 Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor certification will be an added advantage.

Experience in automotive / precision manufacturing / engineering manufacturing will be an advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality-related documentation and reporting.
