Job summary

Ming Feng Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Control Assistant/Executive (preferable Chinese) to oversee quality inspection and food safety responsibilities across raw materials, in-process and finished products in a production environment.

The role requires hands-on QA/QC work, auditing knowledge for ISO/QMS, GMP, HALAL, and the ability to train workers on usage, cleaning, and sanitation while ensuring compliance with internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Food Science/Technology or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years experience in QA/QC in F&B manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of ISO Quality Management System, GMP, HALAL and other accreditations.
• External & Internal Quality Audit Programme experience.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials, intermediate and finished goods to ensure specifications are met.
• Carry out sorting according to specifications and inspect line workers output.
• Conduct moisture tests after drying process to ensure specifications.
• Provide feedback on non-conformities to superior.
• Ensure compliance with food safety system practices and procedures.
• Assist in audits (GMP, HACCP, GVHP, regulator audits).
• Train workers on usage, maintenance, cleaning and sanitation.
• Liaise with service providers for monthly service and review control effectiveness.
• Participate in internal and external audit activities.

This role involves quality inspection and food safety system responsibilities across incoming raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods in a production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw material, intermediate and finished goods and ensure their specifications are met
• Carry out sorting according to specifications
• Inspect intermediate and finished goods by workers along the production line
• Conduct moisture test after drying process to ensure meeting specifications
• Provide immediate feedback to superior on non-conformities detected in the production process, intermediary and end product
• Monitor to ensure all practices and procedures are carried out in accordance with the food safety system
• Assist Food Safety team leader to handle FSS audits including GMP, HACCP, GVHP and China regulator's audit
• Train and guide workers on usage, maintenance, cleaning and sanitation
• Liaise with service providers for monthly service and review control effectiveness
• Involve in external and internal audit activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum 3 years experience in QA/QC preferrable in Manufacturer of Food & Beverages industry
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience in External & Internal Quality Audit Programme
• Good analytical skills and excellence quality tools and methodologies
• Sound knowledge and experience in ISO Quality Management System, GMP, HALAL and other accreditations
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin (will need to liase with China customer)
• Able to work independently with minimum supervisor
• Computer literate such as MS Word and Excel
