Job summary

Kawan Food Berhad is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to manage complaints, investigations, and quality validations across CCPs, allergens, and processes. The role includes GMP inspections and participation in FSMS, certification and supplier audits.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in QA within the food industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams, delivering actionable plans under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Qualification in Food Science or Food Technology.
• In-depth understanding of BRCGS Standards and ISO 22000/FSSC22000 required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within the food industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work independently under pressure with strong attention to detail.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.

In-depth understanding and hands‑on experience with BRCGS Standards and ISO 22000/FSSC22000 is essential.

A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a Quality Assurance role or a closely related position within the food industry is required.

Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating operational and departmental needs into clear, actionable plans, deliverables, and resource requirements.

Must have excellent solid Analytical and Problem solving skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities and a proven ability to work collaboratively in team-oriented environments.

Ability to work independently under pressure, strong attention to detail and compliance mindset.

Familiar with Root Cause Analysis tools, Trend Analysis and Quality Management Systems
