Job summary

LIMPAHAN ENGINEERING SDN BHD, based in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan, is seeking a Quality Assurance & Control professional to uphold high quality across production and logistics operations. This full-time role emphasizes robust QC systems, documentation and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and 3–5 years in manufacturing QA/QC, with strong proficiency in ISO standards, SPC and Six Sigma methodologies, and the ability to lead testing and calibration

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional quality assurance and control experience in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/14001 and relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in SPC, root cause analysis and Six Sigma/Lean methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality inspections on raw materials, WIP and finished products.
• Develop, implement and maintain QC procedures and documentation.
• Perform statistical analysis to identify trends and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production to address quality concerns and implement improvements.
• Manage calibration schedules for testing equipment and instruments.
• Prepare detailed quality reports and management reviews.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations and specifications.
• Train and supervise QC staff on procedures and documentation.
• Investigate non-conformances and document root causes.
• Collaborate with production and supply chain to reduce defects.

About the role We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance & Control professional to join LIMPAHAN ENGINEERING SDN BHD in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring our manufacturing operations maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance. As a Quality Assurance & Control specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining rigorous quality management systems across our production facilities, directly contributing to our reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction. This role is essential to our operational success and strategic objectives in the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and comprehensive quality inspections on raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products to ensure they meet established specifications and standards
• Develop, implement and maintain quality control procedures, testing protocols and documentation systems across all production lines
• Perform statistical analysis and data collection to identify trends, variations and potential quality issues requiring corrective action
• Liaise with production teams to address quality concerns, implement improvements and ensure corrective and preventative actions are completed effectively
• Manage calibration and maintenance schedules for quality testing equipment and laboratory instruments
• Prepare detailed quality reports, audit findings and management reviews for senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements and customer specifications throughout the manufacturing process
• Train and supervise quality control staff on testing procedures, safety protocols and documentation requirements
• Investigate quality failures and non-conformances, documenting root causes and implementing solutions
• Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to optimise processes and reduce defect rates

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing or related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in quality assurance and control within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and relevant industry standards
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis and quality improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean
• Experience with quality control testing equipment, inspection tools and laboratory instruments
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain meticulous documentation and records
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and recommend corrective actions
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with production teams and management
• Familiarity with quality management software and data analysis tools
• Professional certification in quality assurance (such as CQA or equivalent) is preferred
• Experience in the manufacturing, transport or logistics sector is advantageous
