Job summary

T HASEGAWA FLAVOURS (KUALA LUMPUR) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to assist the Senior QC team in ensuring products meet quality criteria and to support the ongoing management of the Food Safety and Quality System.

The role involves conducting QC tests, maintaining records, and contributing to GMP compliance. Training will be provided, with relocation to Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have meticulous attention to detail and strong record-keeping.
• Experience with basic QC testing and laboratory paperwork is desirable.
• Willingness to undergo training and relocate within Negeri Sembilan as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and carry out QC activities in the laboratory.
• Conduct QC tests across raw materials to finished products.
• Provide feedback on discrepancies to supervisor.
• Maintain and update quality evaluation records.
• Conduct shelf-life studies and report nonconformities.
• Operate laboratory equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in work areas.
• Support GMP-related inspections and calibration tasks.

Job description

Assists the Senior QC Executive and QC Assistant Manager in ensuring the quality of the manufactured products meet the defined set of quality criteria or requirements of customers, as well as to ensure the ongoing management and continual improvement of the Food Safety and Quality System.

Key responsibilities

Plan, organize and carry out QC activities in the laboratory

Conduct the required quality control tests or evaluations on all stages of manufacturing, from incoming raw materials to finished products

Provide immediate feedback to superior of any discrepancy/nonconformities detected on the process or product

Maintain quality evaluation records

Conduct shelf-life study on the finished products and provide immediate feedback to superior of any nonconformities detected

Operate safely and efficiently the equipment and utensils used in the laboratory

Take proper care of equipment and utensils used while performing laboratory activities

Ensure that all work assigned is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements

Assist the monthly Plant Sanitary Inspection and other monitoring activities to ensure effective implementation of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Assist in the internal calibration of weighing balances

To maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites

Other functions which may be instructed from time to time by the company or any designated person

The successful candidate will undergo initial training at AU2, Ampang, prior to permanent relocation to Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan.
