Job summary

Ecolex Sdn Bhd in Malaysia invites applications for a QA Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. The role focuses on routine laboratory testing, generating accurate data, preparing reagents, and maintaining instruments.

We welcome fresh graduates; the position requires English and Bahasa Malaysia, basic Excel and Word skills, and a commitment to ISO/GMP/HACCP standards. You will work in a rotating shift, contributing to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Science, Food Science, Biotechnology, Applied Science or related disciplines.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Excel/Word.
• Ability to perform calculations and maintain accurate records.
• Genuine interest in laboratory work, quality assurance, and analytical testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine laboratory testing, including chemical analysis and physical inspections.
• Produce accurate and reliable test data to support production and other departments.
• Prepare chemicals, reagents, and materials required for laboratory testing.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Record, interpret, and report test results accurately.
• Investigate off-specification results and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and company quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and a safe working environment.
• Perform additional testing and laboratory-related tasks as assigned.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated QA Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and experienced laboratory professionals who are eager to build a rewarding career in the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting routine laboratory testing, including chemical analysis and physical inspections.

Producing accurate and reliable test data to support production and other departments.

Preparing chemicals, reagents, and materials required for laboratory testing.

Operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment.

Recording, interpreting, and reporting test results accurately.

Investigating off-specification results and initiating corrective and preventive actions.

Ensuring compliance with ISO, GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, and company quality requirements.

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.

Maintaining laboratory housekeeping and ensuring a safe working environment.

Performing additional testing and laboratory-related tasks as assigned.

Required Soft Skill:

Good hand and eye to maintain and calibrate testing instruments.

Qualifications:

Interest or knowledge in the oleochemical, edible oils, chemical, or manufacturing industry will be an advantage.

Willing to work on a rotating shift schedule.
