Job summary

Gano Excel Industries Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) is seeking a QC Inspector to ensure raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meet company specifications and food safety standards. You will support HACCP, GMP, hygiene, and quality control activities within the manufacturing facility.

The role includes sampling, routine inspections, and maintaining QC records, with opportunities to assist during audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Chemistry, Applied Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or other relevant science-related qualification.
• SPM/STPM with relevant QC experience may be considered.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in GMP, HACCP, Halal or food safety-controlled environment preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, GHP, HACCP, QA/QC concepts and related testing.

• Perform inspection and sampling of incoming raw materials, ingredients and packaging materials.
• Conduct routine quality inspections during manufacturing, mixing, filling, packing and other production activities.
• Inspect finished products before release or transfer to the finished goods warehouse.
• Conduct routine GMP and hygiene inspections in production and related areas.
• Monitor compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP requirements and company SOPs.
• Identify products or processes not meeting specifications and maintain QC records.
• Assist the QA/QC Department during audits.

Job description

The QC Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process and finished product inspections to ensure that raw materials, packaging materials, production processes and finished products comply with company specifications, food safety requirements and applicable regulatory standards. The successful candidate will also support HACCP, GMP, hygiene, food safety and quality control activities within the manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

Perform inspection and sampling of incoming raw materials, ingredients and packaging materials.

Conduct routine quality inspections during manufacturing, mixing, filling, packing and other production activities.

Inspect finished products before release or transfer to the finished goods warehouse.

Conduct routine GMP and hygiene inspections in production and related areas.

Monitor compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), HACCP requirements, Food Safety Management System requirements, and Company SOPs and Work Instructions.

Identify products, materials or processes that do not meet approved specifications.

Maintain accurate and complete QC records.

Conduct sampling of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products and finished products according to approved procedures.

Assist the QA/QC Department during audit.

Perform any other QA, QC related duties assigned by the Head of QA & QC or management.

About you

Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Chemistry, Applied Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or other relevant science-related qualification.

Candidates with SPM/STPM and relevant food manufacturing QC experience may also be considered.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Previous experience in Quality Control within food, beverage, dietary supplement, nutraceutical or related manufacturing industries is an advantage.

Experience working in a GMP, HACCP, Halal or food safety-controlled environment is preferred.

Knowledge of food manufacturing operations, Quality Control inspection, GMP and GHP, HACCP principles, food safety requirements, product sampling, basic laboratory or QC testing, Good Documentation Practices, handling of non-conforming products, and measuring and monitoring equipment.

Detail-oriented, responsible and disciplined.

Able to follow SOPs and instructions, identify abnormalities and quality defects, and communicate effectively with Production and QA/QC personnel.

Able to maintain accurate records and work independently and as part of a team.

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and willing to work shifts or overtime when required.
