Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain measuring and inspection equipment with daily monitoring.
• Develop and manage equipment control plans including inspection and calibration schedules.
• Ensure timely calibration in line with internal standards and industry requirements.
• Improve measurement processes by optimizing settings and operating conditions.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with vendors/service providers.
• Develop, update, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and work standards.
• Support audits and ensure ISO quality management compliance.
• Maintain gold samples and standard/reference samples; perform inspections.
• Conduct gauge correlation studies (internal and external).
• Develop and register new reference samples when required.
• Monitor production quality across shifts; track non-conforming items.
• Lead or support RCA and CAPA implementation.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve defects and improve process capability.
• Drive continuous improvement towards zero-defect performance.
• Support failure analysis activities and review data for clarity.
• Monitor defect trends with production team; drive reduction.
• Review daily inspection records of measuring equipment.

Job description

To ensure effective control, accuracy, and reliability of measuring and inspection systems, while supporting quality improvement, failure analysis, and compliance with internal and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Control (Routine, Troubleshooting & Improvement)

Manage and maintain measuring and inspection equipment, including daily monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Develop and manage equipment control plans, including periodic inspection, maintenance, and calibration schedules.

Ensure all equipment is calibrated on time in compliance with internal standards and industry requirements.

Continuously improve measurement and inspection processes by optimizing equipment settings, measurement recipes, and operating conditions to achieve target performance.

Perform troubleshooting on equipment issues and coordinate with vendors/service providers for timely resolution.

Develop, update, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and work standards.

Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards).

2. Measurement Standards & Sample Control

Maintain and control gold samples and standard/reference samples.

Conduct periodic inspection of standard samples and ensure proper documentation and traceability.

Perform gauge correlation studies (internal and external, including customer requirements).

Develop and register new reference samples when required.

3. Quality Issue Management

Conduct daily monitoring and review of production quality performance across shifts.

Track and monitor non-conforming products, measurement deviations, and inspection-related issues.

Lead or support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve critical defects and improve process capability.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction and achieving zero-defect performance.

4. Failure Analysis

Support failure analysis activities related to measurement and inspection findings.

Review failure analysis data to ensure clarity, completeness, and effectiveness.

Monitor defect trends and drive reduction initiatives in collaboration with the production team.

Review daily inspection records of measuring equipment conducted by technicians.

5. Customer Return Analysis Support

Perform failure analysis on customer-returned products using appropriate metrology tools.

Prepare and present technical reports to internal stakeholders and customers.

Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to align on measurement standards and expectations.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and quality management systems.

Support workplace organization initiatives such as 5S.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to metrology processes and quality systems.

Job Requirements / Qualifications
