Job summary

Actiforce Mechatronics Technology (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure product excellence through inspections, corrective actions, and collaboration with suppliers. The role emphasizes ISO9001:2015 standards and hands-on QA/QC activities across the supply chain.

You will read technical drawings, participate in 8D CAPA processes, and help drive continuous quality improvements across production and supplier networks. The position is based in Penang, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in QA/QC, manufacturing and/or QA lab measurement functions.
• Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Systems, QC Tools, problem solving methodology (eg.: 8D, 5 why, FMEA, risks Assessment, Cause & Effect Diagrams, PDCA)
• Able to read and interpret technical drawing

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in Supplier Source Inspections (SSI), ensuring parts meet specifications before shipment
• Collaborate with suppliers to address quality problems, proposing solutions for improvement
• Initiate and follow through on 8D CARs for significant quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and effectiveness
• Inspect and approve incoming raw tube material according to established specifications and quality standards
• Respond promptly to production defect issues, determining the need for rework or supplier replacement
• Liaise with production teams and suppliers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to identify and implement quality improvement opportunities
• Suggest solutions to recurring quality problems
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, quality issues, and corrective actions
• Assist in generating quality reports for management review

Key responsibilities

About you
