Job summary

Ultimate Manufacturing Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance leader for machining operations. You will manage a QA team, enforce rigorous quality controls, and push for continuous improvement across production lines and suppliers.

The role requires 8–10 years in QA within manufacturing, with strong knowledge of quality methods, regulatory requirements, Lean concepts and ERP systems. Excellent leadership and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Min 8–10 years’ experience in quality assurance within machining/manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control methodologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership to motivate teams and drive quality initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and quality management software.
  • Understanding of ERP systems in the production process.

Job description

Manage and maintain rigorous quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process. This involves inspecting materials, monitoring production lines, and verifying product specifications to maintain adherence to quality standards.

Identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and quality in machining operations. Implement strategies to streamline processes, reduce defects, and optimize production workflows.

Stay updated with Customers’ standards related to machining and ensure full compliance within our operations. Guide the company in meeting regulatory requirements and obtaining necessary certifications.

Lead a team of quality assurance staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a culture of quality excellence. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.

Utilize data analytics tools to assess quality metrics, track key performance indicators, and generate comprehensive reports. Use these insights to drive decision-making and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Work closely with Customers to ensure product qualification and quickly address quality matters, implement feedback, and uphold strong relationships. Collaborate with suppliers to maintain quality standards of incoming materials.

Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance, training and support to ensure a high level of competence and motivation within the team.

Follow-up closely with production and quality teams to ensure every product qualification process meet customer’s requirements and timeline

Monitor and analyze customer feedback, implementing corrective actions as necessary to improve customer satisfaction

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product and service quality, collaborating with cross functional teams.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality assurance activities and prepare regular reports for management review.

Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, related specification and applying this knowledge in the CMM programming and inspection method.

Sound knowledge in lean manufacturing, PFMEA, SPC, 6 Sigma

Exposure to Semiconductor Front-end Equipment Manufacturing is an advantage.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred

Min 8 to 10 years’ experience in a quality assurance role within the machining or manufacturing industry.

In-depth knowledge of quality control methodologies, regulatory requirements, and machining processes.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive quality initiatives.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and quality management software.

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clients.

Understanding of the ERP system in the production process.

Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong Leadership skills with high confident.

Must have a hands‑on approach on a daily basis.

Proactive with a high level of organization skill.

Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively manage a team.

Willingness to take leadership in resolving issues across all the departments and remain accessible at all times.
