Job summary

Guocera Tile Industries in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead QA operations at the Kluang plant and drive the quality strategy across finished goods. You will act as QMS Management Representative, establish and monitor processes, and collaborate with Production for sustained product quality.

Responsibilities

• Overall in charge of QA operations for Kluang plants.
• Develop and implement quality strategies to achieve departmental objectives.
• Conduct benchmarking and establish appropriate quality standards and parameters for finished goods.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues through systematic root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage customer complaints and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as QMS Management Representative (MR) to ensure QMS processes are established, implemented, maintained, and continually improved.
• Identify training needs, develop training programs, and ensure staff competency.
• Monitor new standards, regulations, and customer requirements and ensure full compliance with existing policies and standards.
• Report critical quality issues to management in a timely manner and forum.
• Improve Quality Cost (COPQ) through systematic analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with NPD, Marketing, and Technical teams in new product development and quality standard establishment.
• In charge of packaging design including carton artwork and packing configuration for standard and customised packing.
• Work closely with Production to improve and sustain product quality.
• Make final disposition decisions on non-conforming products.
• Ensure all product certifications are valid, compliant, and up to date.
• Supervise, guide, and develop QA Asst. Manager, QA executives, supervisors, inspectors, and support staff.
• Initiate and lead Green initiatives and sustainability certifications as required, including environmental compliance programs, resource optimization, and continuous improvement toward ESG and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical guidance and training to relevant internal and external parties.
• Lead and participate in 5S and QPP programs and any other group programs.
• Drive a strong quality culture and performance discipline within the team.
