Job summary

Guocera Tile Industries is seeking a detail-oriented technician to perform color and texture matching, preparing material parameters for production runs, and adjusting products to meet quality standards.

You will support production shifts, troubleshoot quality issues, and maintain thorough documentation. The role also supports the NPD team in trials and new product development when required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in chemistry, material science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of color matching, texture evaluation, and product quality control.
• Ability to follow formulations, specifications and SOPs accurately.
• Hands-on skills with production materials, equipment and testing tools.

Job description

This role involves performing color and texture matching to ensure products meet required specifications and standards, preparing material parameters and formulations for production runs, and adjusting products to correct off-shade or non-conforming items. You will support production operations during assigned shifts, assist in troubleshooting product quality issues, maintain accurate records and documentation, and support the NPD team in product trials and new product development activities.

About you

Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Basic knowledge of color matching, texture evaluation, and product quality control

Ability to follow formulations, specifications, and standard operating procedures accurately

Hands‑on skills in handling production materials, equipment, and testing tools

Good problem‑solving skills to identify and troubleshoot product or quality issues

Able to work independently as well as in a team environment

Proficiency in forklift operation is an advantage

Willing to work on shift rotation (including A, B and C shifts) and support production when required

Good communication skills and basic documentation/report writing ability
