Job summary

Guocera Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an Engineering Manager to develop and manage the Plant Preventive Maintenance Master Plan, drive PVM implementation, and standardize procedures across production departments.

You will lead annual maintenance planning, shutdowns, and audits; push reliability improvements for RMB, Press, Glazing, Kiln and LGV systems, while controlling maintenance budgets and spare parts inventories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• Registered Graduate Engineer with BEM a plus.
• Experience with RMB, Press, Glazing line equipment.
• Experience with PLC & HMI diagnostics and support.
• Experience in reliability engineering and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Plant Preventive Maintenance Master Plan across all departments.
• Ensure monthly PVM compliance and standardize PM procedures, check sheets, SOPs and work instructions.
• Lead annual maintenance planning and shutdown schedules; conduct periodic maintenance audits.
• Improve reliability of critical production equipment and develop predictive maintenance strategies.
• Monitor MTBF/MTTR and lead RCA for major equipment failures.
• Review maintenance KPIs and optimize spare parts inventory and budget.

Job description

Key responsibilities

Develop and manage the Plant Preventive Maintenance Master Plan and monitor PVM implementation across all departments

Ensure monthly PVM compliance target achievement and standardize PM procedures, check sheets, SOPs, and work instructions

Lead annual maintenance planning and shutdown schedules and conduct periodic maintenance audits

Improve reliability of all critical production equipment and develop predictive maintenance strategies

Monitor MTBF and MTTR performance and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major equipment failures

Review daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance KPIs and monitor breakdown trends and recurring failures

Establish plant reliability improvement projects and lead maintenance review meetings with department heads

Control maintenance manpower allocation and manage maintenance budget and expenditure

Optimize spare parts inventory and approve critical spare parts stocking levels

Ensure compliance with Permit-To-Work systems and machinery compliance with DOSH requirements

About you

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (Preferred)

Registered Graduate Engineer with BEM is an advantage

Knowledge and experience managing RMB Equipment Systems, Press Machine Systems, Glazing Line Equipment, Roller Kiln Systems, Trimming Line Equipment, Sorting Line Equipment, and LGV Systems

Experience with PLC & HMI Systems for diagnosing and support troubleshooting

Experience troubleshooting and improving Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems, Motors, Drives & Gearboxes, and Instrumentation & Sensors

Experience developing and implementing Reliability Engineering practices

Experience managing CMMS Management Systems for maintenance planning and reporting

Experience leading and managing Shutdown Planning & Execution

Experience developing and optimizing Spare Parts Management

Experience controlling and optimizing Maintenance Budget Management
