Job summary

Lek Sun Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to oversee quality across incoming materials, in-process inspection and finished products. You will lead the internal Quality Inspection team and coordinate with Engineering, Tooling and Production to improve processes and product quality.

You will drive CAPA, 8D reports and customer audits, and support QMS and EMS deployment in line with IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or quality management with 3–5 years in manufacturing quality.
• Experience handling customer complaints, audits and CAPA.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and QMS tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Ability to read drawings and GD&T; proficient with precision measuring instruments.

1. Oversee product quality throughout the entire manufacturing process, including incoming materials, in-process inspections, and outgoing finished products.

2. Serve as the primary quality liaison with customers by addressing customer complaints, preparing 8D reports, and driving effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

3. Lead and manage the internal Quality Inspection team to ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.

4. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Tooling, and Production, to evaluate and enhance manufacturing processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.

5. Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015 requirements, and respective internal audits..

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, with 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role. Experience in plastic injection moulding is an added advantage.

2. Proven experience in handling customer complaints, customer audits, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.

3. Good knowledge of IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015 standards, as well as Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA), 8D problem-solving methodology, and data analysis techniques. Internal audit experience is an added advantage.

4. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and a good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Proficient in using quality inspection and measurement equipment, such as Smart Scope, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.

5. Good communication, and interpersonal skills, self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
