PURCHASING EXECUTIVE (CONCRETE INDUSTRY)

Job summary

TASEK CONCRETE SDN BHD is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage local sourcing of materials, spare parts and services for our Johor Bahru operations. You will ensure right quality, price and delivery while supporting production efficiency and cost reductions.

You will liaise with suppliers, review contracts, and maintain documented compliance under company procedures. The role focuses on timely requisitions, stock control, and vendor performance.

Job description

· To source and purchase local materials (eg. spare parts, general services and local essential raw material) of right quality, right time, at the right price and from the right source so as to enable contribution to the overall profitability of the company.

· To liaise with plants on raw material, spare parts and etc stock to ensure zero stock out, production downtime and over stock situation.

· To co-ordinate with local essential raw material supplier for continuous and adequate supplies so as to avoid stoppage of production

· To ensure compliance of company procedure and guidelines towards effectiveness of controls and quality of documents, control gaps and corrective action plans

· To ensure continuous efficiency and effectiveness of the purchasing operations and systems from the implemented POWER BIZ, Purchasing Module

· To continue and source for new reliable vendor, alternative and new product as well as evaluate our existing/reliable supplier in terms of consistent of quality product, on time deliveries, after sales service, technical support and competitive.

· Process all approved requisitions within 4 working days.

· To assist in negotiating contracts/activities, keeping within budgetary requirements

· To ensure continuous efficiency in related purchasing administrative scope e.g. filing, distribution, reporting, matching and batching

· Meeting deadline and target on job assigned

· Level of achievement of quantitative performance level in terms of cost reduction

· Active participation on QPP activities such as ESS, QAT and others

· Assist in Vendors/Contractors Management programmes.

Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
