Job summary

APG Geotechnics Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a dedicated Purchasing Executive to source materials for projects and negotiate favorable terms. You will oversee daily purchasing needs, issue orders, and coordinate delivery and shipping schedules.

Requirements include a Diploma or Certificate, at least 5 years of construction-related purchasing experience, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Autocount. Location: Section 19, PJ, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Certificate or Diploma in relevant fields.
• Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing, preferably in construction.
• Proficient in Excel and Word, Autocount.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate and purchase materials from local and overseas vendors at best price and quality.
• Manage daily purchasing needs: planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders, delivery and shipment schedules.
• Negotiate and establish terms of trading with suppliers.
• Handle capital expenditure procurement for plant, machinery, site and office equipment.
• Monitor delivery of goods to job sites and maintain purchasing records and reports.
• Ensure invoices are routed to accounts for payment and maintain filing of purchasing data.

Job description

Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from both local and overseas vendors at the best price & quality for the projects

Responsible for daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules

Responsible to negotiate & establish terms of trading with the suppliers

Responsible for capital expenditure for plant & machinery / site & office equipment procurement.

Responsible for shipping by air /sea.

Responsible for monitoring of delivery of goods to job sites when necessary

Responsible to establish & monitor monthly purchasing report, compliances with purchasing policy.

Deal with non-supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods

Ensure that all invoices are sent to accounts for payment

Ensure all purchasing and receiving data are duly updated with proper filling

Ensure all paperwork, including purchase orders, and inventory records, are accurately maintained and organized

Perform any other tasks assigned by superior from time to time

Requirements :

Candidate must possess at least a Certificate or Diploma in relevant fields

Minimum 5 years experience, preferably with purchasing experience of goods & services related to construction industry and familiar with building works

Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word, Autocount

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all administrative tasks

Able to communicate with team members as well as supplier

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

A positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile to support the team
