Job summary

Winchester Interconnect (M) is seeking a procurement professional in Malaysia to manage order fulfilment, supplier pricing and lead times in the Syteline ERP system. You will coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and support production demands.

The role requires 1-2 years in purchasing or material control, with MS Excel/MS Office skills; knowledge of Mandarin is a plus for supplier communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/administration/management, commerce or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or material department.
• Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Office, MS PowerPoint and MRP preferred.
• Proficient in Mandarin to interact with Mandarin-speaking suppliers/clients (advantage).

Responsibilities

• Order fulfilment—ensure POs released on time to support customer requirements.
• Reschedule or cancel orders (pull-in & push-out) to meet production and customer needs.
• Maintain suppliers' latest unit price, lead time, MOQ, SPQ in the Syteline system.
• Ensure accuracy of all POs released to suppliers.
• Follow up on order acknowledgements, commitments and delivery dates.
• Coordinate with Finance for any advance payment arrangements.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery (OTD).
• Attend to discrepancies or quality issues when needed.
• Negotiate favourable payment and shipment terms.
• Conduct periodic cost savings activities.
• Conduct supplier audits or visits as required.
• Monitor consignment and buffer stock to meet demand while minimising liability.
• Work with suppliers to comply with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ROHS, etc.

Job Descriptions:

• Order Fulfilment – ensure POs released on time to support customer’s requirement.
• Performed orders rescheduled (pull-in & push-out) or cancelled in timely manner to fulfil production and customer requirements.
• To update & maintain suppliers' latest unit price and critical information (i.e., Lead time, MOQ, SPQ, etc.) in the Syteline system.
• Responsible for the accuracy of all the POs released to suppliers.
• Follow-up with the suppliers on the order acknowledgement, commit delivery date and update system accordingly within the expected timeline.
• Coordinate with Finance for any "Advance Payment" arrangement.
• Follow-up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery (OTD).
• Attend to incoming discrepancy or quality issues on needed basis.
• Always negotiate for the favourable payment terms and shipment terms.
• Conduct periodically cost savings activities.
• Conduct supplier audit or visit as and when requested.
• Monitor consignment, buffer stock quantity to ensure right quantity to support demand while minimising anypotential liability.
• Work with supplier to comply with our management system, such as ISO9001, ISO14001,ISO45001, ROHS, etc.
