Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing professional to source and procure materials for product development and ongoing operations. The role involves planning, executing, and monitoring purchasing activities, deliveries, and maintaining inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or related field.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• ERP system experience is preferred.
• 2–3 years of working experience in purchasing/inventory.
• Specialization in Purchasing/Inventory/Materials & Warehouse Management.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials for new product development and existing operations
• Plan, execute, and monitor purchasing activities, deliveries, and inventory levels
• Liaise with production, stores, and suppliers on material planning, ordering, and delivery
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, delivery, and payment terms to ensure cost efficiency
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and source new suppliers when necessary
• Manage supply issues, shortages, and ensure alternative sourcing plans are in place
• Maintain and evaluate supplier performance, including audits and vendor management
• Handle both direct and indirect purchasing, including services and subcontractors
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate purchasing records and system updates
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and relevant regulations (e.g. import/export)
• Coordinate with internal departments and external parties to support operations
• Experience using ERP systems to support purchasing operations

Required skill(s): Proficient in MS Office, Added advantage if experienced in ERP system.

At least 2-3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Preferably specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
