Job summary

EC EXCEL HOLDINGS BERHAD – Balakong, Selangor is seeking a Purchasing professional to identify and evaluate reliable suppliers, obtain quotations, and manage purchase orders in line with company policies. The role requires coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and maintaining accurate purchasing records.

The successful candidate will monitor supplier performance, resolve purchasing-related issues, and conduct annual evaluations to ensure quality, price, and service

• Able to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with different departments.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and source reliable suppliers for materials, products and services.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare, issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and in accordance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and goods.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding orders, delivery status and supplier commitments.
• Maintain proper and systematic purchasing records and documentation for easy reference and audit purposes.
• Conduct annual supplier performance evaluations to assess quality, pricing, delivery performance and service standards.
• Handle and resolve purchasing-related issues, including supplier delays, damaged goods, shortages, discrepancies and quality concerns.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.
