Job summary

Fitson Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Executive to source and procure materials for new product development and ongoing operations. You will plan, execute, and monitor purchasing activities, deliveries, and inventory levels.

You will negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, manage direct and indirect purchasing, and maintain accurate records. Experience with ERP systems and strong MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
• Required skill(s): Proficient in MS Office, Added advantage if experienced in ERP system.
• At least 2-3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials for new product development and existing operations
• Plan, execute, and monitor purchasing activities, deliveries, and inventory levels
• Liaise with production, stores, and suppliers on material planning, ordering, and delivery
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, delivery, and payment terms to ensure cost efficiency
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and source new suppliers when necessary
• Manage supply issues, shortages, and ensure alternative sourcing plans are in place
• Maintain and evaluate supplier performance, including audits and vendor management
• Handle both direct and indirect purchasing, including services and subcontractors
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate purchasing records and system updates
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and relevant regulations (e.g. import/export)
• Coordinate with internal departments and external parties to support operations
• Experienced in using ERP systems to support purchasing operations
