Job summary

GT-MAX PLASTIC INDUSTRIES (M) SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and ensure cost efficiency across local and international vendors.

The role involves issuing purchase orders, coordinating with Finance and Production Planning, and maintaining accurate procurement records to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with a Diploma/Degree in a related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or related field.
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Languages: Bahasa Mandarin, Malay, and English

• Identify and evaluate new suppliers to improve cost efficiency and supply reliability.
• Maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.

• Coordinate with Finance for invoice verification and payment processing.
• Monitor material lead times to avoid production delays.
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Warehouse, and QA teams to monitor inventory levels and ensure material availability.

Job description

Identify and evaluate new suppliers to improve cost efficiency and supply reliability.

Maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.

Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Coordinate with Finance for invoice verification and payment processing.

Monitor material lead times to avoid production delays.

Coordinate with Production Planning, Warehouse, and QA teams to monitor inventory levels, manage reorder points and safety stock, and ensure continuous material availability for production.

Prepare and maintain purchase orders, supplier contracts, and procurement records.

Job Requirement

At least 1-2 years of experience in the related field. Experience in manufacturing industry would be an added advantage for this position.

Candidates must posses at least Diploma/Degree in related field.

Required Language(s) : Bahasa Mandarin & Malaysia & English to effectively communicate with our supplier.

Able to multi-tasking and meet tight deadline.
