Job summary

Adeka Foods Asia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Purchasing Executive to lead procurement activities, developing policies and procedures, and negotiating prices with suppliers to ensure value and quality.

The role emphasizes compliance with food industry standards and timely purchasing. Key duties include daily price monitoring of palm oil for management updates, issuing and updating purchase orders and quotations, sourcing local and overseas suppliers, and ensuring all deliveries meet required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Management or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Experience in food industry preferred.
• Exposure to FSSC 22000, HALAL, HACCP and GMP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop policies and procedures for procurement activities.
• Monitor palm oil prices daily for management update.
• Responsible for daily purchasing operations, price negotiation and sourcing.
• Ensure goods are purchased according to required specifications.
• Prepare, generate, issue and update purchasing orders (POs), quotations, etc.
• Plan, source and develop new suppliers/vendors (local and overseas).
• Liaise with supplier to obtain documents for FSSC 22000, HALAL, HACCP and GMP.
• Keep track of supplier's performance for periodical review.

Responsible for daily purchasing operations, price negotiation and sourcing.

Ensure that all goods are purchased accordingly to required specifications.

Prepare, generate, issue and update purchasing orders (PO), Quotations, etc

Plan, source and develop new suppliers / vendors (local and overseas).

Liaise with supplier to ensure all related documents required for FSSC 22000, HALAL, HACCP and GMP etc are obtained in a timely manner

Keep track of supplier's performance for periodical review.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Food Technologist, Management or equivalent

Possesses at least 3 to 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field

Preferably a person who specializing in food industry

Exposure to FSSC 22000, HALAL, HACCP and GMP would be an advantage
